A young public university with deep roots, host of the 15th IPA Conference through its ERGO Research Group.
The University of Burgos (UBU) is a public university created in 1994, building on a long teaching tradition that goes back to the 16th-century Universidad de Burgos. Today UBU welcomes around 10,000 students across its faculties of Education, Humanities and Communication, Law, Economics and Business, Health Sciences, Sciences, and the Polytechnic School.
UBU is known for the close relationship between students, faculty and researchers — and for its international outlook: it participates in more than 350 mobility agreements and welcomes scholars from across the world every year.
The conference is hosted by the ERGO Research Group, based at the Faculty of Economics and Business of UBU. ERGO brings together scholars working on accounting, accountability, sustainability, organisations and governance, with a strongly interdisciplinary and socially engaged perspective.
The group publishes regularly in leading international journals, coordinates research projects funded by national and European programmes, and maintains active collaborations with universities and research centres across Europe, the Americas and beyond.
